Just tell me what to do.
Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it.
A near mantra that has felt like an echo chamber of my heart for much of my life.
Just tell me what to do so I know I’ll get it right, not mess up, be efficient and effective with the time I have… all thoughts that ultimately render myself incapable of taking responsibility for whatever the end results, whether celebratory or shameful.
People pleasing. A nasty parasite that can sneak in so quickly and multiply into a million sub-colonies of other thought and neural networks in the mind.
